Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fortune Early College). They breezed by the Delta Saints to the tune of 119-33 on Thursday. The Panthers pushed the score to 104-33 by the end of the third, a deficit the Saints had no chance of recovering from.

Fortune Early College got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Elijah Thompson out in front who posted 21 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Keagan Schrader was another key player, putting up 20 points.

Thompson wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Fortune Early College was working as a unit and finished the game with 32 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

With the win, Fortune Early College broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-5. As for Delta, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Fortune Early College will take on Woodland in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Fortune Early College has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. After both having extra time off, Delta and Aspire Alexander Twilight Secondary Academy will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
