Volleyball Game Preview: Upper Lake Cougars vs. Fort Bragg Timberwolves

Upper Lake is 1-9 against Fort Bragg since August of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Cougars will welcome the Timberwolves at 6:00 p.m. Upper Lake will be strutting in after a victory while Fort Bragg will be coming in after a loss.

Upper Lake will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating St. Helena, who they had gone 0-5 against in their five prior meetings. The Cougars walked away with a 3-1 win over the Saints on Tuesday.

Upper Lake had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-22, 25-17, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Fort Bragg suffered their biggest defeat since September 12th on Tuesday. They came up short against Kelseyville, falling 3-0.

Fort Bragg took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-16, 25-20.

Upper Lake's victory ended a six-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-6. As for Fort Bragg, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.
