Football Game Preview: Mountain View-Gotebo Tigers vs. Tipton Tigers

Mountain View-Gotebo is 0-8 against Tipton since October of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. Mountain View-Gotebo will welcome Tipton at 7:00 p.m. Mountain View-Gotebo will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Mountain View-Gotebo's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 15-0 victory over Temple. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Mountain View-Gotebo's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked 19th, while Temple is ranked 66th).

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Tipton and Ryan meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Tigers fell 34-26 to the Cowboys. The contest marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Mountain View-Gotebo will have to contain Jj Jillah as he made an impact in Tipton's last game. He rushed for 67 yards and a pair of scores on only nine carries.

Tipton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Mountain View-Gotebo, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Mountain View-Gotebo was taken down by Tipton 64-14 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Mountain View-Gotebo was down 36-14.
