Basketball Recap: Festus Comes Up Short

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Thursday. Festus took a 68-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of Central. Festus has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Abbi Davenport went supernova for Central, putting up 35 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Davenport has scored at least a third of Central's points. Jamie Dawson-Ide was another key player, earning 18 points.

Festus' defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 17-5. As for Central, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-15.

As of now, neither Festus nor Central have any future games scheduled.
