Basketball Recap: Haywood Christian Academy Skates Past Community Christian Academy with Ease

Haywood Christian Academy waltzed into their match on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Community Christian Academy Warriors 49-16. That 33 point margin sets a new team best for the Red Wolves this season.

Haywood Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cherish Carson out in front who posted 20 points. Carson's evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Mendez, who had 13 points.

The win got Haywood Christian Academy back to even at 3-3. As for Community Christian Academy, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

Haywood Christian Academy will head out to take on The Master's Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Master's Academy's defense has only allowed 11.2 points per game this season, so Haywood Christian Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Community Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on December 17th.
