Baseball Recap: McLaurin Takes a Loss

McLaurin lost against Southeast Lauderdale last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. McLaurin lost 16-1 to Southeast Lauderdale. McLaurin has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

McLaurin saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jamari Horton, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

McLaurin's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Southeast Lauderdale, their win was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-1.

Coming up, McLaurin will face off against Pelahatchie at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. McLaurin is facing Pelahatchie at the right time seeing as Pelahatchie is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Southeast Lauderdale, it'll be Northside v. Southside when they and Northeast Lauderdale meet at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
