For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Valley and Albuquerque meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. The Vikings were outmatched by the Bulldogs and fell 76-42. The Vikings were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-20.

Despite the defeat, Valley saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jeremy Rodriguez posted nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andres Garcia, who had six points.

Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Albuquerque, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valley will host Albuquerque Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings will be up against the Chargers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 49.88 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Albuquerque, they will welcome Atrisco Heritage Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Jaguars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 63 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
