Volleyball Recap: Troy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Troy lost against Jefferson County North last Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Trojans fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 2-1. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Troy sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 23-25, 25-19.

Harper Whetstine paced Troy's offense, picking up nine kills. Whetstine really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with seven. Liv Thomas controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

The defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 17-14. As for Jefferson County North, their victory was their 15th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 30-2.

Coincidentally, Troy and Jefferson County North will both be playing Maur Hill Prep-Mount Academy the next time they take the court. The Chargers will head out to face the Ravens at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Trojans will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
