Maclay fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against South Walton on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Seahawks. The Marauders' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Noah Chavez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Maclay's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for South Walton, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

Looking ahead, Maclay will face off against North Florida Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Walton, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 11-5 win against Lincoln on the 29th.
