After a string of four wins, McQueen's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They came up short against the Douglas Tigers, falling 10-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-5 back in March.

McQueen saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Vanessa Bein, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one double. Lilly Fanene also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.

McQueen's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Douglas, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-5.

McQueen didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-1 loss against Bishop Manogue on the 12th. As for Douglas, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 11-0 defeat against Reed on the 12th.
