Soccer Recap: Moon Valley Comes Up Short

Moon Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Cortez Colts, falling 6-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rockets of the 5-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2020.

Jonathan Graterol wasn't going to let Cortez walk away unscathed as he scored both of Moon Valley's goals, bringing his season total up to three goals.

Moon Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Cortez, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4-1.

Moon Valley wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 1-0 defeat against Goldwater on the 23rd. As for Cortez, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 4-1 loss against ALA - Gilbert North on the 16th.
