Bartlett and Eagle River are an even 4-4-2 against one another since May of 2015, but likely not for long. The Golden Bears will face off against Wolves at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bartlett's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Bartlett is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: South Anchorage, who was ranked first at the time (Bartlett was ranked 16th). The Golden Bears lost 12-0 to the Wolverines on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Eagle River can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against Bettye Davis East Anchorage by a score of 2-0.

Bartlett's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13-1. As for Eagle River, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-12-1.

Everything went Bartlett's way against Eagle River in their previous meeting back in April, as Bartlett made off with a 5-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Bears since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
