Basketball Recap: Orange Comes Up Short

After flying high against Southern Alamance last Friday, Orange came back down to earth. The Orange Panthers took a 61-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eastern Alamance Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 66-60 back in December of 2024.

Eastern Alamance found their leader in sophomore Kobie Hester, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten rebounds. That's the most points Hester has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Mason Murphy, who scored 12 points and seven boards.

Orange's loss dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Eastern Alamance, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Orange nor Eastern Alamance have any future games scheduled.
