Recap: Cedaredge Bruins vs. Meeker Cowboys
The Cedaredge Bruins had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 40-35 victory over Meeker on Saturday. For Cedaredge, this counts as revenge for the 45-37 loss Meeker walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Cedaredge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carley Malinowski, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. Malinowski is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Addie Hanson was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Despite the loss, Meeker still got an impressive performance from Reese Clatterbaugh, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Hossack, who scored three points along with four steals.
Cedaredge now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Meeker, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cedaredge will stay at home for another game and welcome Olathe at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. Meeker will take on Grand Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
