Softball Recap: Braddock Comes Up Short

Braddock scored first but ultimately less than Palmetto in their game on Thursday. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 16-5. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Emely Ramirez and Emily Cancio did some serious damage despite the final result: Ramirez went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run, while Cancio went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, one triple, and one run. Cancio is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Anelis Goberna, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Braddock's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Palmetto, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-5.

Braddock has already played their next contest (against Homestead), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Palmetto, they have also already played their next matchup, a 12-2 victory against Academy for Innovative Education on the 9th.
