Baseball Game Preview: Lewis & Clark Tigers vs. Mt. Spokane Wildcats

Lewis & Clark hasn't had much luck against Mt. Spokane recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. Mt. Spokane took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Lewis & Clark, who comes in off a win.

Lewis & Clark will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Mead, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Tigers walked away with a 4-1 win over the Panthers on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Meanwhile, Mt. Spokane faced Gonzaga Prep in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Wildcats lost 12-2 to the Bullpups. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since April 3rd.

Lewis & Clark's victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Mt. Spokane, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-5.

Lewis & Clark suffered a grim 10-4 defeat to Mt. Spokane in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
