Basketball Recap: Butternut Comes Up Short

Butternut suffered their biggest defeat since February 1st on Friday. They had to suffer through a 72-43 loss at the hands of the Solon Springs Eagles. The Midgets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

Butternut's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Solon Springs, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Butternut and Winter will round out the year against one another at at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Winter has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Solon Springs, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Drummond at 7:15 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
