Basketball Recap: Kalkaska Takes a Loss

Kalkaska lost against Harbor Springs back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Kalkaska Blazers had to suffer through an 86-48 loss at the hands of the Harbor Springs Rams. While losing is never fun, the Blazers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 492nd, while the Rams are ranked 57th).

Kalkaska's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Harbor Springs, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

While Kalkaska had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
