If Oil City wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Sharon, they should've done a better job of containing Emmalie Yobe. The Tigers blew past the Oilers 3-0 on Tuesday with plenty of help from Yobe, who had ten digs, six kills, and six aces. Yobe is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 14 every time she's taken the court this season.
The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-18, 25-14.
Sharon's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alauna Wilson, who had ten digs and three aces. That's the most aces Wilson has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Naudia Csatlos, who had six aces.
Meanwhile, Slippery Rock got the win against Titusville on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0.
Slippery Rock walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-11, 25-21, 25-18.
Sharon better focus on containing Lyla Runtas and Lexi Caldwell as the pair were huge in Slippery Rock's win. Runtas had 11 digs and three aces, while Caldwell had 26 assists and two aces.
Sharon's record is now 12-4-1. As for Slippery Rock, their record now sits at 19-4-2.
Sharon came up short against Slippery Rock in their previous matchup back in September, falling 2-0. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
