For the first time this season, Walden Grove will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will be playing at home against the Mica Mountain Thunderbolts at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Walden Grove is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

Walden Grove is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Mica Mountain just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Thunderbolts by a score of 5-4.

Natalie Holzer was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

The win was the fourth in a row for Mica Mountain, bringing their record up to 13-9. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Walden Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.
