Basketball Recap: Eureka Comes Up Short

Eureka lost against Burroughs back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wildcats fell 63-51 to the Bombers. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Burroughs found their leader in freshman Daylin Douglas, who shot 64% from the field to rack up 23 points along with five assists and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Lanton, who went 5-for-10 en route to 16 points.

Eureka now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Burroughs, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Eureka will take on Ursuline Academy in a holiday battle at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Burroughs, they have already played their next matchup, a 67-39 win against Parkway South on the 12th.
