Softball Recap: Greencastle Takes Down South Putnam in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Greencastle had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the South Putnam Eagles as they made off with a 10-2 win. The Tiger Cubs not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 17th (when they won 12-2).

The victory was the fourth in a row for Greencastle, bringing their record up to 10-13. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 2.75 runs across that stretch. As for South Putnam, they moved to 16-6 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Greencastle nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
