Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Alaa Simrin and Sarina Mansour Lead Universal Academy to Victory

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Keswick Christian, Universal Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Winthrop College Prep Academy Spartans with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

While Universal Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-21, 25-22.

Leading Universal Academy to victory were Sarina ManSour and AlAA Simrin. Mansour had 30 digs, while Simrin had 15 digs and six aces. With that strong performance, Mansour is now averaging an impressive 10.2 digs per game.

Universal Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Winthrop College Prep Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.

Universal Academy has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Riverview Academy on the 25th. As for Winthrop College Prep Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Lakewood Ranch Preparatory Academy on the 25th.
