Softball Recap: Woodstown Snags Sixth Win in Last Seven Games

Woodstown won the last time they faced Pitman and things went their way on Monday too. The Wolverines blew past the Panthers 8-2. Considering the Wolverines have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Leah Clark was excellent, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Elizabeth Wygand was another key player, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.

Woodstown is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Pitman, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.

Coming up, Woodstown will head out on the road to face off against Wildwood at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pitman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
