Baseball Recap: Lone Star Takes a Loss

Lone Star blew Reedy out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Reedy got their revenge. The Lone Star Rangers fell just short of the Reedy Lions by a score of 2-0. The Rangers' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Houston Farrar was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over 6.2 innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent over his last seven matches.

Lone Star's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Reedy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-4.

While Lone Star had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
