Soccer Game Preview: Morton Ranch vs. Cinco Ranch

Morton Ranch is 1-9 against Cinco Ranch since February of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Mavericks will head out on the road to take on the Cougars at 7:15 p.m.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Morton Ranch turned things around against Mayde Creek on Tuesday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Morton Ranch's first draw of the season.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last matchup, Cinco Ranch made sure to put some goals up on the board against Mayde Creek on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Rams a 4-0 shutout. Considering Cinco Ranch's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Morton Ranch's draw makes their record 3-7-1 this season. As for Cinco Ranch, their win bumped their record up to 4-5-2.

Morton Ranch might still be hurting after the 6-1 defeat they got from Cinco Ranch in their previous matchup back in March of 2025. Can the Mavericks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
