Winnetonka won the last time they faced Smithville and things went their way on Thursday too. The Griffins walked away with a 68-61 win over the Warriors. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Griffins.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was AJ Mason, who shot 50% from the field en route to 17 points. Another player making a difference was Caiden Praiswater, who went 6-for-12 on his way to 15 points.

Winnetonka's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Smithville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-6 record this season.

Winnetonka wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 65-35 loss against North Kansas City on the 6th. As for Smithville, they are taking a road trip to square off against Grandview at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
