Softball Recap: Amherst's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Amherst's offense. They fell just short of the Assumption Royals by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. The loss was the Falcons' first of the season.

Sam Nooyen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up seven Ks.

Having lost for the first time this season, Amherst fell to 3-1. As for Assumption, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Amherst will face off against Neillsville/Granton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Assumption, they will head out to challenge Pacelli at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
