Softball Recap: Bushland Now 10-1 over Last 11 Games

Bushland got themselves on the board against Dalhart on Tuesday, but Dalhart never followed suit. They blew past the Wolves 12-0. Considering the Falcons have won 12 contests by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Brooklyn Briano tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Bushland got a massive performance out of Chayney Snelson, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Snelson has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Piper Francis, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Bushland has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Dalhart, they dropped their record down to 7-12-1 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Bushland will square off against River Road at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least ten runs in their last seven games. As for Dalhart, they will head out to take on Tulia at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolves are facing the Hornets at the right time seeing as the Hornets are stuck on a 15-game losing streak.
