Baseball Recap: Trinity Christian's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

If Trinity Christian was feeling good fresh off their 20-2 takedown of Valley last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Trinity Christian fell just short of the Clay-Battelle Cee-Bees by a score of 7-6 on Monday. Warriors fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Cee-Bees since on Monday.

Thomas Dinkel and Bryson Sanders did some serious damage despite the final result: Dinkel scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-3, while Sanders scored two runs while going 3-for-3. What's more, Dinkel posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brady Hutson, who scored a run and stole two bases.

Having lost for the first time this season, Trinity Christian fell to 2-1. As for Clay-Battelle, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Trinity Christian will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Paden City at 6:30 p.m. As for Clay-Battelle, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hundred at 2:00 p.m. on April 5.
