Baseball Recap: Mabank Find Success

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Mabank had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Henderson Lions, sneaking past 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted since February 21st.

Mabank has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-12 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Henderson, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 16-12 record.

Mabank will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Lions: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
