South Miami came into this matchup off a tough ten-run loss on Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Archbishop Carroll by a score of 6-4 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Hialeah's offense. They lost 6-0 to Somerset Academy on Saturday. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Thoroughbreds' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Hialeah saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kamari Small, who went 2-for-3 with one double. That double was Small's first of the season.

Hialeah's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for South Miami, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9-1.
