Baseball Game Preview: Williamsburg Raiders vs. Solon Spartans

Williamsburg is 2-8 against Solon since June of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Raiders will host the Spartans at 5:00 p.m.

Williamsburg is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Thursday. They came up short against West Delaware, falling 12-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Raiders have suffered against the Hawks since July 6, 2017.

Algona typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Solon proved too difficult a challenge. They won by a run and slipped past the Bulldogs 12-11. Solon's victory was all the more impressive since the Bulldogs were averaging only 3.41 runs allowed on the season.

Williamsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Solon, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
