Baseball Game Preview: Washington Jaguars vs. Mardela Warriors

Washington hasn't had much luck against Mardela recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Jaguars will head out to face off against the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. Washington has given up an average of 13.3 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Washington is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Monday. They came up short against Decatur, falling 15-3.

Washington saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Miles, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Mardela came tearing into Thursday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over Pocomoke.

Mardela pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Washington, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
