Baseball Recap: Valley Union Comes Up Short

Valley Union fell victim to Benson and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Bobcats, falling 12-0. The Blue Devils haven't had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Valley Union saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Steven Delacruz, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Valley Union's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Benson, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-9-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valley Union will square off against Patagonia at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Valley Union is facing Patagonia at the right time seeing as Patagonia is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Benson, they will challenge San Miguel at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
