Soccer Game Preview: Tellico Plains vs. Rockwood

The Tellico Plains Bears will take on the Rockwood Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Tellico Plains has given up an average of 5.4 goals per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tellico Plains came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Sweetwater, falling 10-2. The defeat continues a trend for Tellico Plains in their meetings with Sweetwater: they've now lost nine in a row.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Rockwood, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Oliver Springs a 3-0 shutout on Thursday.

Rockwood's win bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Tellico Plains, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Tellico Plains might still be hurting after the 9-0 defeat they got from Rockwood when the teams last played back in August of 2017. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
