The South Sumter Raiders will be defending their home-field for the first time for the first time when they go up against the Forest Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

South Sumter is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after opening their season on the road. They fell 35-28 to Niceville on Friday.

Defeat or not, South Sumter got some senior leadership from Stanley Young and Ja?Kyrian Turner. Young gained 123 total yards and two touchdowns, while Turner. rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries.

Forest got some further help from Nemo Flax: he picked up a sack, made six total tackles (2.0 for loss), and defended a pass.
