Softball Recap: Milan Snags Fifth Win in Last Six Games

Milan came out on top against Ida on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run seventh inning. The Big Reds walked away with a 10-7 win over the Bluestreaks. This was payback for the Big Reds, who suffered a 10-4 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Milan is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Ida, they moved to 10-8 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Milan will take on Blissfield at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Big Reds have won three straight at home, while the Royals won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Ida, they will welcome Monroe at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
