After losing to Victoria East the last time they met, Angleton decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Wildcats had just enough and edged out the Titans 3-2. Given Angleton's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 315th, while Victoria East are ranked 689th) , the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Angleton now has a winning record of 4-3-2. As for Victoria East, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7-1.

Angleton didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Ball on the 20th. As for Victoria East, they will be playing at home against Randle at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The match will give Victoria East their first taste of in-conference action this season.
