Basketball Game Preview: Granada Bobcats vs. South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett] Patriots

Granada and South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett] are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. The Granada Bobcats will square off against the South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett] Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Thursday, Granada ended up a good deal behind Kim/Branson and lost 66-50.

Despite the defeat, Granada got top-tier performance from Maddox Coleman, who went 13-for-19 on his way to 29 points and five boards. Thanks to that strong game, Coleman now owns an excellent 46.1% field goal percentage. Another player making a difference was Fernando Cadena, who went 5-for-12 en route to 11 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett] played a tough contest on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Kim/Branson 85-51. The Patriots have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett]'s loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Granada, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5.

Granada strolled past South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett] in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a score of 63-44. The rematch might be a little tougher for Granada since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
