Spring Creek is 10-0 against Dayton since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Spring Creek Spartans will take on the Dayton Dust Devils at 6:00 p.m. Neither Spring Creek nor Dayton posted many points in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.

Last Saturday, Spring Creek had to suffer through a 65-24 loss at the hands of Churchill County. The Spartans have struggled against the Greenwave recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Spring Creek's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Rhiwan Williams, who posted seven points and five rebounds, and Isabel Zubiria, who earned three points. Karli Nichols also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Meanwhile, Dayton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They were beaten by Fernley 57-19. While losing is never fun, the Dust Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while the Vaqueros are ranked ninth).

Dayton's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Spring Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.

Everything came up roses for Spring Creek against Dayton when the teams last played on January 10th, as the team secured a 62-22 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Spring Creek since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
