Basketball Recap: Fort Loramie Redskins vs. Fairlawn Jets
The Fort Loramie Redskins scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They came out on top against Fairlawn by a score of 48-36. The win made it back-to-back wins for Fort Loramie.
Maxwell Maurer had an outrageously good game as he scored 17 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Alex Boeger, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds.
Fort Loramie's victory bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Fairlawn, their loss was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-16.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fort Loramie won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Flyers at 7:30 p.m. on February 3rd. As for Fairlawn, they will be playing at home against the Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Russia presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Jets in Ohio (the Raiders are ranked 34th, while the Jets are ranked 789th).
