Volleyball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Troup

Troup hadn't done well against White Oak recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Roughnecks. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Troup's got stronger as the match went on, holding White Oak to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-20, 25-17.

Qhenja Jordan paced Troup's offense, picking up 14 kills. Jordan got some help from Chyler Graves and her 11 assists.

Troup's record now sits at 20-11. As for White Oak, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-14 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Troup will take on rival Arp at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, White Oak is set to face off against their familiar foe West Rusk at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
