Baseball Game Preview: Peninsula Seahawks vs. Curtis Vikings

The Peninsula Seahawks will head out on the road to face off against the Curtis Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Peninsula can't be too worried about heading out to take on Curtis: they just beat Silas at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Seahawks blew past the Rams 9-1 on Wednesday. The Seahawks have beaten the Rams the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Rams has come to flipping the script.

John Browand looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Pete Browand was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Andy Merry, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Curtis won against Timberline on Monday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. Everything went the Vikings' way against Bethel as they made off with a 9-2 victory.

Peninsula's record now sits at 15-3. As for Curtis, their record is now 14-6.

Peninsula suffered a grim 12-2 defeat to Curtis when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Seahawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
