Ringgold has gone a perfect 3-0 against California recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Rams will take on the Trojans at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Ringgold 3.4, California 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Ringgold's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Uniontown as they made off with a 6-0 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Rams have posted against the Red Raiders since May 12, 2021.

The result came thanks to Anthony Koziel's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up 13 Ks. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Ringgold is 5-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 1-7 otherwise.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Andrew Sprinkle, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Demetri Lowe, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.
Meanwhile, California can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They came out on top against Frazier by a score of 1-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).
California's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Eli Carpenter, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
The win made it two in a row for Ringgold and bumps their season record up to 6-8. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for California, their win bumped their record up to 5-6-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Ringgold has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like California struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Ringgold came out on top in a nail-biter against California in their previous matchup back in March of 2023, sneaking past 4-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
