Basketball Recap: Fairborn Victorious

Fairborn posted their closest victory since December 19, 2023 on Friday. They had just enough and edged the Greenville Green Wave out 56-54. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 50-40 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Greenville still got an impressive performance from Drew Hamilton, who went 7 of 14 en route to 19 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Layne Hocker, who posted nine points.

Fairborn's win bumped their record up to 5-14. As for Greenville, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-17 record this season.

Fairborn will be playing in front of their home fans against Stebbins at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Greenville, they will head out on the road to square off against Wapakoneta at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
