Volleyball Recap: Mission Bay's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Mission Bay had won two straight games and Zeth Abelman did his part to make it three on Friday. The Mission Bay Buccaneers came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Fallbrook Warriors for which the team can thank Abelman, who had 24 digs and two aces. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in digs.

Mission Bay's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Fallbrook, they moved to 9-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Mission Bay's road trip will continue as they head out to face Escondido Charter at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Escondido Charter will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Mission Bay surely won't give up without a fight. As for Fallbrook, they will challenge San Dieguito Academy at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
