Basketball Recap: Hadassah Brown Key Part of Team Effort in Bulldogs Win

Waukegan saw some tournament action on Thursday. They came out on top against the Buffalo Grove Bison by a score of 59-46. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Waukegan's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hadassah Brown led the charge by dropping a double-double with 23 points and ten boards. The matchup was Brown's third in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Alexy Chapa, who shot 45% from the field to rack up 15 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Waukegan smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in eight consecutive games dating back to last season.

Waukegan's record is now 2-0.

Looking ahead, Waukegan will face off against Barrington at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Buffalo Grove, they will square off against Grayslake Central at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
