Basketball Game Preview: Ralston Rams vs. Auburn Bulldogs

Ralston hasn't had much luck against Auburn recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. Both will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Ralston is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 27th straight game dating back to last season on Monday. They were outmatched by Roncalli Catholic and fell 67-19. The Rams were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-17.

Meanwhile, Auburn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 71-30 loss at the hands of Plattsmouth. One positive for the Bulldogs, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Auburn's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Ralston, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Ralston took a serious blow against Auburn in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 65-29. Can Ralston avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
