Basketball Game Preview: Squalicum Storm vs. Sedro-Woolley Cubs

The Squalicum Storm are taking a road trip to square off against the Sedro-Woolley Cubs at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

Squalicum is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest defeat since January 31, 2024 on Saturday. They were dealt an 80-52 loss at the hands of Lynden Christian. The Storm have struggled against the Lyncs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Sedro-Woolley had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They snuck past the Bulldogs with a 68-63 victory.

Sedro-Woolley's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.7 points per game. As for Squalicum, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Squalicum beat Sedro-Woolley 56-45 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Squalicum since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
